I was first approached by Melanie back in August 2010 and after a phone call and various emails and looking at various pieces from our extensive portfolio, it was decided that we would go for an encrusted design in a mix of crystal, crystal ab, diamante and freshwater pearl to match her earrings.
Our encrusted designs have always proved to be popular due their simple elegance in terms of shape and their sumptuous textural feel. This combined with our ability to choose the perfect materials to change the feel of the pieces to suit the bride's requirements has meant that we have created numerous designs which all have a distinct feel. In this case Melanie wanted her tiara to sparkle as her gorgeous gown had no beaded embellishments and yet she wanted a certain warmth to come through into the design to ensure that it complemented beautifully. Of course by using freshwater pearls which provide a wonderful warm lustre this took care of that and the use of sparkling Swarovski took care of the rest. By using various sizes and shapes of crystals, diamante and pearls, we could give Melanie a very textured piece within a simple shape to provide an elegant finishing touch to her bridal ensemble.
Melanie looked absolutely gorgeous as you will agree and it was a real pleasure to work with her to create this piece for her.
