When Katrina came to me last year she told me about her very exciting Halloween wedding. It was to have a gothic theme with all the guests dressed up and she was wearing a gorgeous red bridal gown and she wanted a tall, sparkly, red, black and crystal tiara to complement.

After looking over a number of designs, Katrina fell in love with one of my previous pieces which was designed for my bride Helena in 2008 but once I saw Katrina it was obvious to me that this design would have been far too heavy and tall for her and was not the best shape for her. The design I advised was still a significant piece but it was lower in height and rather than being a straight peaked design we went for a graduated peaked design to give the impression that the tiara was bigger than it actually was. And the graduating peaked design also reflected the neckline of the gown. To give the piece more impact I decided to go for a layered branch design in silver and black wire with each branch finished with various shapes and sizes of siam, jet and crystal diamante with clusters of crystal and siam beads.

The finished piece was beautifully textured and colourful yet still looked elegant and provided a wonderful sparkle to the bridal ensemble.

Our wedding was brilliant with the gothic theme being kept without becoming gimmicky. Everyone commented on my tiara and it complemented everything perfectly!"

Gemma -September 2009

Family weddings are wonderful events and I was delighted when I was asked by my cousin to design her hair accessory and jewellery for her wedding. Gemma's vintage style cream coloured gown accompanied by lace bolero (beautifully created by my very talented Mum) needed warm and delicate accessories and nothing says warm and delicate like creamy freshwater pearls. Gemma wanted a floral accessory which combined an asymmetric focal point with trailing sections to decorate her french pleat.

Eventually we decided upon a mix of textures and I created the floral focal point with silver wire, gold mesh ribbon, freshwater pearl floral motif with Swarovski crystal golden shadow centre. These freshwater pearl floral motifs carried on through the vine section of the piece interspersed with branches of single and cluster crystals and pearls. The tones of the piece complemented the rich colour of the gown and the colourings of Gemma wonderfully and had a subtle sparkle.To complement Gemma decided upon a 3 strand freshwater pearl colarette, with simple pearl studs and single strand pearl bracelet.

Clare - August 2009

I was commissioned to design a 3 strand pearl, crystal and diamante tiara for this lovely customer on a custom made band. Because the bride was wearing a string of beautiful pearls it was essential that I matched the pearls perfectly and despite the simplicity of the design, great care and time was taken to ensure that the bride's requirements were met exactly.

Chloe - July 2009

This beautiful bride came to me in the middle of 2008 and it was a real pleasure to design for Chloe & Paul's special day. When I first saw the gown with its fantastic black and grey detailing and sweetheart neckline, I immediately saw the design and colourings which I would propose to Chloe. This staggered graduating peak tiara is made up of layered branches of curled wire and reflects the shape of the sweetheart neckline. I took crystal as the base colour together with jet and black diamond crystals scattered throughout. I also used jet and crystal diamante to add extra texture. The idea behind the tiara was quite simple but it had great texture and depth to suit the gown.

I also made the choker, earrings and cuff that Chloe wore as well as her a headband and earrings for her youngest bridesmaid and hair pins for her older bridesmaids.

This simple, pretty and elegant design was based on our Sarah design. As soon as I saw Dawn and her dress fitting pictures I knew immediately the kind of style that would look fantastic on her and so I suggested this very pretty and elegant design. And having seen her lovely wedding photographs it is easy to see how well this design complemented her.

This lovely encrusted headband tiara was fantastically simple and elegant but incredibly effective. Using a blended mix of Swarovski golden shadow, light colorado topaz, crystal and crystal ab together with Swarovski cream pearls, pale gold freshwater pearls and various crystal diamante in different shapes and sizes this piece has a wonderful sparkle and texture to balance the beautifully detailed bodice of this pale gold gown.
